Te Wananga o Aotearoa has partnered with Womad New Zealand to support Te Paepae, the festival’s Maori space run in conjunction with Taranaki Maori health provider Tui Ora.
Event director and New Zealand programme manager Emere Wano says Te Paepae is a vehicle where Maori culture and importantly the Taranaki Maori narrative is woven into the WOMAD experience.
During the festival in March 2018 it will host a number of hands-on activities, including workshops with local and international artists.
