Survey finds Maori businesses optimistic and doing well.


An ANZ survey has found Maori businesses are out-performing non-Maori businesses and are more optimistic about the future.
The ANZ survey of privately owned businesses found that in the past 12 months 54 percent of Maori businesses recorded an increase in profits compared with 46 percent on non-Maori.
The survey of 3500 businesses throughout Aotearoa found 72 percent of Maori where upbeat about the next three years compared to only 51 percent of non-Maori businesses.
More than half the Maori businesses thought being Maori was an advantage.
