Launch of new Maori legal resource

Victoria University's Law faculty has launched a new bilingual tool in conjunction with Maori language Week.
The tool creates a legal Maori resoruce hub which Maori lawyer Mamari Stephens who has been involved with bringing the project to fruition says it is s unlike anything else produced in Aotearoa.
The new resouce will allow users such as lawyers, scholars and translators to browse historical Maori language texts, look up word meanings and test new or old maori words against an enormous document bank.
The Hub will let anyone explore the specific use of thousands of Maori terms in their historical context that are within thousands of pages of selectable and browseable texts.
