Immunisation rate, tamariki health issues
Last week, the Ministry of Health announced the immunisation program for 2024, scrapping free vaccines for children up to 12 years of age, and all Māori and Pacific people between 55 and 64 ending in this years season.
Dr Owen Sinclair, the president of the Paediatric Society of New Zealand (PSNZ) and National Immunisation Taskforce Chair spoke with Dale about this year’s immunisation program, other PSNZ campaigns, and what the present and future is looking like in the Māori paediatric sector.
