America’s Cup win celebration for all

A Māori commentator says he’s disappointed at negative Māori reactions to America’s Cup win.
Team New Zealand yesterday beat Luna Rossa on the Waitematā Harbour to wrap up the regatta 7-3 and retain the Auld Mug.
Ward Kamo says it’s always good to hear kiwi success stories.
"I've seen some of our Māori folk calling it a rich man's sport and there's no access for our rangatahi who don't come from money. Well, that's absolute nonsense. I learned to sail as a kid when I went to sea scouts and it cost mum and dad zero for me to do that. Sailing is an event for all and it is available to kids and the price is probably not much different to playing a season of rugby. Can we get away from this white man's band thing and celebrate the fact that New Zealand's had a really cool win today," he says.
