Film looks at people behind living building
It started as a film about architecture, but it became a film about the people who are using architecture to talk of their relationship with the land.
Ever The Land, about the building of the Tuhoe headquarters Te Uru Taumatua at Taneatua, premieres at this month’s New Zealand International Film Festival.
Film maker Sarah Grohnert says as one of the few completely living buildings the headquarters is exceptional enough, but what makes the story is the people and the constant presence of Te Urewera.
The initial screening of Ever The Land is sold out, but there are plans to tour it around the motu.
