Wāhine offered ticket to tech trade fair
Wāhine technology entrepreneurs have a chance to get to London Tech Week in June to spread the Māori digital footprint in the UK and Europe markets.
The five-day conference is included in a six-month development programme organised by Māori global trade advocacy group Te Taumata.
Director Naomi Manu says discussing trade opportunities kanohi ki te kanohi and exchange ideas with potential partners continues the long history of Māori in international trade.
“So enabling wahine to be able to go and participate in events like this is important because of the nature of the way in which we do trade and the way in which we have typically traded. And that is being able to engage face to face and being able to develop these enduring relationships with potential trade partners,” she says.
Applications are open until April 26, and the programme starts on June 1.
