Davidson recovering after protest hit and run
Greens’ co-leader Marama Davidson says she is recovering from being hit by a motorcycle during a protest against British anti-trans activist Kellie-Jay Keen-Minshull.
Thousands of people turned up at Albert Park on Saturday in opposition to Ms Keen-Minshell, also known as Posie Parker.
Some of them then clashed with supporters of Destiny Church’s Brian Tamaki, who was holding a rally in nearby Aotea Square.
Keen-Minshell abandoned the Wellington leg of her Let Women Speak tour and left the country on Saturday night.
Ms Davidson posted on Facebook that she had had medical treatment and “hakoa te mamae o te tinana, kei te hari koa te ngākau” – although the body is in pain, the heart is happy.
