Emerging Māori fintech start-up, BlinkPay, has signed an agreement with ASB covering its API or application programming interface.
Founder and chief executive Daniel Karehana says formalising the relationship with one of New Zealand’s major banks is an important step toward the introduction of open banking and the emergence of the open data economy.
He says the collaboration should result in new payment services for customers as well as realising BlinkPay’s goal of providing services that will help Kiwi households better manage their day-to-day finances.
