2 percent party calls out 2 percenters
Māori Party co-leader Debbie Ngarewa-Packer says it’s National and ACT who are the parties of the minority, not her party.
Those parties have this week mounted a full-throated attack on the Pae Ora Bill and the creation of the Māori Health Authority.
She says they aren’t credible champions of democracy.
“They are funded by the 2 per cent who own 40 per cent of the wealth in Aotearoa, a minority who often will invest in democracy to become part of that majority voice,” she says.
Debbie Ngarewa Packer says the Māori Health Authority should be a debate not for all Kiwis but for Māori who have been at the wrong end of decades of health service failure.
