Manurewa Marae’s vaccination bus will be at the Clendon Pak’nSave today and tomorrow to get jabs into the community.

Marae CEO Takutaimoana Kemp says it follows a successful partnership over the weekend with the area’s high schools.

The message got out on social media and there was a steady stream of bubbles of rangatahi coming to the clinic at the netball courts, the majority of them Māori.

The bus also got a new name.

“We’ve called our bus Shot Cuz and that came from our community – Shot Cuz is more gender fluid. We’ve renamed our bus Shot Cuz instead of Shot Bro, come and get a vaccination, Ms Kemp says.
