Reti keen to regain relevance
National Party deputy leader Shane Reti says the party still has a lot of work to do to be seen as a government in waiting.
The party has had to defer a constitutional meeting because of Wellington's Covid restrictions, but Mr Reti says the party and caucus are determined to get the work done as soon as possible.
He's confident ground can be made back.
"When we look back in 2020, we lost the confidence of business, we lost the confidence of the rural sector and I think we lost relevance for Māori, for women and probably for youth, and I think the review highlighted all those things," Dr Reti says
He says as well as regaining the confidence of its voters, National needs the Government to be shooting itself in the foot.
