Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi is holding a graduation ceremony today for tauira who couldn’t get formally capped last year because of the COVID-19 lockdown.
Chief executive Professor Wiremu Doherty says more than 2200 graduates were affected, and many are taking the opportunity now to celebrate their success with their whānau.
Tomorrow the class of 2020 will graduate, and the two sets of graduates will join staff in a combined formal procession through Whakatane.
