White Ribbon power play puts Te Kahika out
Billy Te Kahika, who has built a political movement around what critics say are conspiracy theories, has found a new one.
On top of vaccination, 5G and 1080, the New Zealand Public Party founder and Advance New Zealand candidate sees the hand of the Labour Party in a decision by anti-violence group White Ribbon to drop him as an ambassador.
He says he still supports the kaupapa of standing against family violence, but it looks like he is being punished for what he is standing for.
"Bob McCann, who is the (White Ribbon) campaign manager, is a 2014 and 2017 Labour candidate and Labour member now, and it just seems very very very very strange and the pātai we are asking is how is it that this has been going on for months and months, we are a few weeks out form the election and suddenly they have a problem with the take and the kaupapa we are sharing on Facebook and in our media platforms," Mr Te Kahika says.
He says the move smells like a dead fish.
