Mana Wahine says Bridges refuses to see Mob change

National Party leader Simon Bridges’ threat to go after the gangs is being seen as more of the same political posturing by someone working for change in the Mongrel Mob.
National's Social Services Discussion Document says National hates gangs and blames them for the scourge of drugs in New Zealand.
It threatens to require gang members to prove they don't have illegal income or assets before receiving a benefit.
Paula Ormsby from the Waikato-based Mongrel Mob Kingdom’s Mana Wahine group says she invited Mr Bridges to attend a Mana Whānau event being organised by her group next Saturday in a way that made it clear he’s not interested in seeing any changes in the Mob.
"The government will always look for somebody to blame. There's no better people to blame than the gangs so I don't think for his own political agenda that he actually wants to see the changes that have occurred and it's not that we're changing – we’ve already done it," she says.
Paula Ormsby says National is profiling and targeting the most marginalised group in society.
