Maori women continue to be paid the least, despite a narrowing of the gap between the hourly earnings of men and women.
The latest quarterly figures show women's median hourly pay rose 4.6 percent in the past year to $23.02, putting them 9.4 percent behind men, who only managed an 1.6 percent annual gain to a $25.41 per hour median.
On a weekly basis, women's earnings rose 3.8 percent to $830, while Maori women’s earnings rose 6.6 percent to $767 a week.
Maori men enjoyed an 8.6 percent rise to a median $1000.
