Private Manurewa foodbank facing homelessness

A walk-in care centre in Manurewa is calling on its community to help save it from closing.
Waka of Caring has given out free clothes, food parcels and hot meals from its base in Mcannalley Street for the past two years.
Founder Debbie Munroe who ran the charity from her home for eight years, says she wants to stay at that location.
"We pay for the internet and the rubbish and the power so we are not asking for everything, we are just asking for someone or a group of people to help us with the lease so we can continue with what we do well," she says.
