Hunua hikoi for cancer kid
The whanau of Ka’iulani Forbes are well into the Hunua ranges in their 200 kilometre hikoi to raise money for life saving medical treatment.
The two year-old has neuroblastoma, a rare cancer that has so far been unresponsive to the treatments available in Aotearoa.
They want to take him to the United States for treatment there.
The hikoi left yesterday from Waihihi in Kaiaua, where Tainui waka landed in Hauraki.
It will end on Sunday at Maketu in Kawhia Harbour, where Tainui waka ended up.
A Give a Little page has been set up and there's a fundraiser at Waikite Gym in Rotorua on Saturday.
