No lavalava from big Bros
Maori Television says it has complied with a demand from Warner Bros that it stops its Lover Boy vs Lavalava Boy advertising campaign.
The entertainment industry giant objected when the channel parked a mobile billboard promoting the new show Game of Bros alongside a billboard for The Bachelor.
Head of content Mike Rehu says it made business sense to discontinue the campaign rather than risk legal action.
Game of Bros starting tonight features 12 Polynesian men who battle in a series of traditional games for the title of ultimate warrior.
