TeWharepora Hou member Marama Davidson says the term Black Feminism used to describe a hui held in West Auckland yesterday sent a powerful message.
She says the name used for the hui on domestic violence she facilitated is wider than just brown or Maori feminism taking in all women of colour.
Marama Davidson says there was a huge attendence at the hui demonstrating the concern in the community about the issue and there was universal agreement that greater measures were needed to beat domestic violence.
