Harawira talks treaty to Dotcom

Mana leader Hone Harawira says it will be up to members whether the party forms an alliance with Kim Dotcom’s new Internet Party.
Mr Harawira has talked to the internet entrepreneur about the potential of working together, but says it won’t detract from Mana’s preparations for the September election.
He says both parties share concern about the way John Keys Government is allowing New Zealand’s intelligence services to be used to further the interests of American businesses and American spy agencies.
He says he’s not concerned that Mr Dotcom knows little about the Treaty of Waitangi or Maori issues.
"The fact that he doesn't know anything about them doesn't mean anything because National knows all about them, and Labour knows all about them, neither of them are going to give us any more than 3 percent of the value of our claims, and neither of them have been able to lift our education, health, housing and emplyment statistics up to the level of non-Maori," Mr Harawira says.
