Maori TV to cover Anzac centenary

Maori Television has won the contract for the live TV coverage of next year’s Anzac Day commemorative service at Chunuk Bair in Turkey.
The service on 25 April 2015 is significant because it will mark the centenary of the start of the Gallipoli campaign, in which 2721 New Zealanders died.
NZ On Air chief executive Jane Wrightson says the contract will ensure New Zealanders have free live coverage of a service that remembers events and people who have shaped the nation.
A live feed of the service (without Maori Television’s commentary) will be available to other broadcasters and online media.
Maori Television will also provide coverage from the 2014 service at Chunuk Bair.
