Maori professionals gain Public Trust posts

Auckland accountant Diana Puketapu and Wellington lawyer David Tapsell have been appointed to the board of Public Trust.
Ms Puketapu is a former chief financial officer for Ngati Whatua o Orakei Corporate, and is currently on the board of Auckland Council Investments, Unitec and Aotearoa Credit Union.
Mr Tapsell’s previous governance experience has included Crown bodies such as Te Puia – Maori Arts and Crafts Institute, and he is a director on the Pukeroa Oruawhata Group which has substantial investments in the Rotorua region.
Justice Minister Judith Collins says Ms Puketapu and Mr Tapsell bring strength and skill to the board as well as offering fresh perspectives on Public Trust’s business and customer base.
