Ngatiwai Trust Board has tapped its deputy chair Kris MacDonald to be its new chief executive.
Chair Haydn Edmonds says Mr MacDonald is tuturu Ngatiwai and has been on the board for 10 years.
He co-chaired the committee overseeing Ngatiwai’s clams to parts of coastal Northland and Aotea-Great Barrier.
He was formerly a senior manager at the Ministry of Education and served a term on Auckland’s Independent Maori Statutory Board.
He replaces Angeline Waetford, who has been the acting CEO for the twelve months.
