Te Mana Kuratahi is the biennial national primary school kapa haka competition, hosted this year by Te Tauihu o te Waka a Māui.

46 kapa haka representing 16 regions across Aotearoa will battle it out for top honours during the 4-day competition

Te Rūnanga o Ngāti Rārua board chair Olivia Hall says the festival is a must-see. She spoke with Dale Husband about the competition and what it means for the Māori in the area.
