Puriri Park meeting Taitokerau housing need
Te Taitokerau MP Kelvin Davis says the opening of the 30-home Puriri Park development in the Whangarei subject of Puriri Park is a sign of the progress being made to rebuild state housing stocks.
He says the Kainga Ora has built a range of homes as well as a community centre.
“There was a bit of opposition to Puriri Park the homes being built there because it is in an affluent suburb. I know the National MP up there was opposed but to hell with it, there’s a need for housing to be built all across Taitokerau and Whangarei and Maanu are no exceptions,” he says.
Kelvin Davis says the current Government has built 11,000 houses and made provision for 3000 more in this year’s Budget.
