Kirimi chocolate fuel for revolution

Māori party co-leader Rawiri Waititi says Marama Davidson’s support for Whittaker’s Miraka Kirimi chocolate is part of a revolution.
The Greens co-leader has been referred to the Cabinet Office for a social media picture of her standing on Parliament’s steps brandishing a handful of the bars – which she says aren’t her favourite flavour, but she’s supporting the name.
Mr Waititi says people objecting to the company’s use of te reo Maori and Ms Davidson’s response should get over themselves.
“There’s a revolution happening. The country is now accepting there is a tangata whenua here in Aotearoa and the tangata whenua have a language, we have a culture that is being more used across the board and I’m looking forward to the evolution of our country as we accept a tiriti-centric Aotearoa,”
