All Blacks go back says Buck
Rugby legend Sir Wayne Shelford says Saturday’s loss to the Irish points to a need for the All Blacks to evolve if they are to stay competitive for next year’s world cup.
The 32-22 scoreline at Wellington’s Sky Stadium made the Irish the first team to win a test series in New Zealand since 1994.
Sir Buck says coach Ian Foster has brought nothing new to the team.
“Foster did eight years with Hanson and took over as head coach. I haven’t seen too many changes out of our All Blacks in the last four years and that’s when we’ve come up with all these losses so at the end of the day we’re not going to sack but we really have to do some homework on ourselves rather than look at the opposition all of the time,” he says.
