Be a safe kaitiaki says Air NZ

As New Zealand’s new safety video highlights Māori culture and values.
It follows the story of Tiaki, a young man who boards a waka rererangi for an adventure across Aotearoa, visiting four Māori guardians including Papatūānuku, Tangaroa, Tāne Māhuta and Ranginui.
The airline’s brand and marketing manager, Jeremy O’Brien says as people start to return to Aotearoa the safety video is an invitation to them to act as guardians while they’re here.
He says Air New Zealand’s safety videos are world renowned.
The video features storyteller, Joe Harawira, and was made with support from New Zealand Māori Tourism and the New Zealand Māori Arts & Crafts Institute, which designed the waka and its carvings.
