Aotearoa has a new whale species!

This is a FIRST for a new species to be named after a woman, Ramari Stewart, let alone an indigenous wahine Māori.

We are honoured to host a celebration of Nihongore, Whaea Ramari, and members of the scientific community who championed acknowledgement of indigenous science and wisdom, internationally.

This is a BIG deal for Aotearoa on so many levels.
