Jones sets course from Poutama

Poutama Trust chief executive Richard Jones has announced he’s stepping down next March after more than 20 years at the helm of the Māori small business development agency.
Since it was formed in 1988 the trust has invested $28 million in more than 3200 Māori businesses.
Mr Jones says some of his proudest achievements have been encouraging collaboration among Māori enterprises, primarily in the food & beverage sector but also in renewable energy and investment.
Collaboration allows Māori to share experiences and ideas, and to work together across whānau, hapū and iwi boundaries.
