Accident Compensation Corporation chair Dame Paula Rebstock has been appointed chair of the National Hauora Coalition board of directors.
The coalition is a Māori health and social service provider and also the lead advocate for hauora Māori in the Waitangi Tribunal health services kaupapa inquiry.
Other new board appointees are Te Hau Ora o Ngāpuhi general manager Te Ropu Poa, who recently stepped down as acting chief executive of the Ngāpuhi Rūnanga, and Shelley Katae, the general manager strategy and performance for Tāmaki Regeneration.
Coalition Trust Board chair Dame Tariana Turia says the new appointees bring significant iwi, health, and business experience which will provide added commercial and cultural leadership to the board.
