Rangitāne to tell bird sanctuary story

The Pūkaha National Wildlife Sanctuary at Mount Bruce near Masterton has teamed up with Rangitāne o Wairarapa to develop a new cultural tour for visitors.
Iwi members will guide visitors through the Pūkaha forest and tell the traditional stories about the rakau and manu.
Pūkaha general manager Emily Court says Te Hīkoi o Pūkaha is a significant step in deepening relationships between the iwi and the sanctuary.
The one and a half hour tour will run on weekends from September 14 and daily through school holidays.
