Rangatahi entrepreneurs boosted

Four Māori tertiary students will be sponsored to attend next week's 9th annual World Indigenous Business Forum in Rotorua thanks to some corporate goodwill.
The Māori Trustee Te Tumu Paeroa ran an online competition to select two rangatahi entrepreneurs, and KPMG and ASB then stepped up with extra places.
Te Tumu Paeroa trusts general manager Basil Tāpuke says indigenous culture is an important foundation for on-going relationships and business.
Having the event happening on home soil is a tremendous opportunity to help the next generation of leaders start growing their networks.
Kirikaiahi Mahutāriki from ASB says the selected students are studying indigenous studies, Māori agribusiness, and business studies, and they run their own businesses.
