No tautoko for Silver Ferns from Kiwi’s
A Maori ex-pat living in the Gold Coast says more Kiwis need to support the Silver Ferns.
The girls in black have been on a losing streak this week, going down to Jamaica, Malawi and England.
Misty Kimura from Taranaki iwi and Ngati Tuwharetoa says it was sad to see supporters giving up on the team.
"The hardest part was most of our country there didn’t stay to watch the second game so when the Silver Ferns walked off there weren’t many people there clapping them out," she says.
Despite the losses in pool play Misty Kimura and her daughter Khy-Noa were fotunate to meet their heroes and spend some quality time with the Silver Ferns who will go on to play Australia in a semi-final tomorrow.
