Teen metallers for top gig

Northland haka meets thrash metal band Alien Weaponry has been named in the line up for next year’s Wacken Open Air, the world’s biggest heavy metal festival.
Lewis de Jong, the band’s 15-year-old singer and guitarist, says it’s a dream the trio has harboured since they formed five years ago.
The festival in Germany attracts metal fans from all over the world each year, with all 75,000 tickets typically selling out less than 24 hours after they go on sale.
Headliners for the August 2018 festival include Brazilian metal giants Sepultura and the so called godfathers of British metal, Judas Priest.
Alien Weaponry will also play at the Metaldays festival in Slovenia.
