Homelessness needs political fix

Green MP Marama Davidson says fixing the problems of homelessness will require a change of government.
She’s been helping with working bees to get Manurewa Marae ready to help Te Puea’s homeless initiative, and she also took part in the big park up in Mangere, where people slept in their cars to protest how the problem has been allowed to get out of hand.
She says those who took part realise doing it for one night is different to doing it out of desperation.
"That is absolutely what they understood and the organisers themselves are people from the very community who have long done practical actions on the ground as well to help their commnunities, to help people without homes, to help the less fortunate, but they are now wanting to step that up to the next level and create mobilisation so people demand that we fix this," Ms Davidson
