The band's getting back together, but don't expect any new material says Hone Harawira
Hone Harawira has announced Mana will contest the 2017 election.
There'll be no Kim Dotcom and his Internet Party this time – the former Te Taitokerau MP doesn't like the big German's choice of music.
Hone Harawira told Radio Waatea host Willie Jackson what he has going for him is people know him and what he stands for.
"They think of the treaty, they think of the tobacco, they think of feed the kids, they think of housing for the homeless which is a big issue for everybody all of a sudden. They think of jobs for all, no to deep sea oil, they think of those things because I want them to think of those things. We're putting the band back together, we're going on tour but we won't be playing too many new tracks, it's greatest hits. Those are the sorts of issues that are well known and those are the sorts of issues we will be carrying to the next election," Mr Harawira says.
