FOMA head to mind Canadian forestry stake

Federation of Maori Authorities chair Traci Houpapa has been appointed to the board of OTPP New Zealand Forest Investments.
Company chair Don Huse says Ms Houpapa and the other new director, Jane Taylor, brought not only a wealth of governance background to the board but would also provide complementary skill sets.
Ms Houpapa also chairs Landcorp Farming, the National Advisory Council on the Employment of Women, and Te Uranga B2 Incorporation, as well as being a ministerial appointee on the Waikato River Authority.
OTTP owns plantation forests mainly in the Taupo, Rotorua and the Bay of Plenty on behalf of the Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan.
It bought the former Fletcher Forests estate as well as leasing land from private owners, Maori trusts and incorporations, and the Crown.
