Shortland gets seat at te MTV tepu

He created Te Tepu, and now he gets to sit at it.
Maori Television’s electoral college Te Putahi Paoho has appointed linguist and broadcaster Waihoroi Shortland to the Maori TV board.
He’s known as an actor, writer, programme maker, editor, producer and director.
He also wrote and hosted the first four years of Te Tepu, a show designed to create sublime and engaging conversations between fluent speakers of te reo on issues of the day.
Mr Shortland fills the vacancy left by the resignation of Tahu Potiki.
Journalist and pioneering Maori broadcasting advocate Piripi Walker was reappointed to the board for a further three year term.
