Delayed start to Ngapuhi negotiations
The chair of Tuhoronuku says it’s well past the time to start negotiations on Northland claims.

Sonny Tau says Joe Davis, Alison Thom and Hemi Toia have their work cut out for them.
Sonny Tau says the negotiation process won’t get all of Ngapuhi’s land back but it should get some redress at a cultural level and to provide an economic base for the iwi.
