Familiy ties for unique concert
Family ties are to the fore in a unique show at the Paradiso Spiegeltent in Auckland’s Aotea Square this Sunday.
Auckland Festival programme manager Tama Waipara says Where The Apple Falls will feature performances by Maisey Rika and her mother Honey, Annie and Will Crummer, Ngatapa Black and her mother Whirimako, Mara TK with Billy TK Senior, and Che Fu with Tigi Ness.
He says it’s a family-oriented show in every sense.
"It’s a chance for people to get up close and see what is it that makes these incredible artists who have passed their skills on through generations, who they are, what are the ups and downs of that, what are the fun songs and what are the things that we don’t know," Mr Waipara says.
Where The Apple Falls has a 3pm start.
