Business at the breakfast table
Young mothers and babies will be targeted as part of an initiative to teach young people in south Auckland about small business.
The Crosspower Trust in Otara is one of eight organisations around the country that will be funded by the Ministry of Youth Development to deliver an entrepreneurship programme for Maori and Pasifika youth.
Chief executive Dain Guttenbeil says it also has a Mums and Bubs programme offering financial literacy training to young mums who bring their children to the trust’s early childhood centre.
It’s a continuation of the sort of work he was doing in his last job with New Zealand Rugby League.
