Harawira happy with doorstep poll

Te Tai Tokerau MP Hone Harawira is discounting a Reid Research Maori Television poll showing Labour’s Kelvin Davis breathing down his neck.
The poll released on last night’s Native Affairs candidates’ debate put the Mana leader only one percent ahead of Mr Davis.
Mr Harawira says a similar poll last election was belied by the result on the day, when there was a 6 percent split.
He’s surprised Maori Television is still running landline-based polls when 60 percent of Maori no longer own landlines.
"All I know is I've got really good people, I know we have door knocked every Maori roll house in Te Tai Tokerau, I know that no other party has done it and the feeling I am getting from that door knock is what tells me where I am," he says.
Mr Harawira says the toughest campaign was the first one to unseat Dover Samuels, and he’s confident of winning this time.
