Shooting not silencing Harawira
Tai Tokerau MP Hone Harawira says he won’t be put off by shots fired at his Kaitaia electorate office.
The Mana leader says he’s concerned about the safety of his staff and the constituents who visit the office, as well as for the neighbours who include a school and early childhood centre.
While he has had death threats in the past, it’s the first time they have had a bullet attached.
"They’re sending a clear message to me as leader of Mana and leader of Internet Mana and probably wanting me to shut my mouth or stop doing what I'm doing, which is unlikely to happen," Mr Harawira says.
