Hawkes Bay iwi Ngati Kahungunu has confirmed Adele Whyte as its Chief Executive.
Dr Whyte, a marine scientist, has been acting Chief Executive since Meka Whaitiri quit to become the Labour MP for Ikaroa Rawhiti.
Chair Ngahiwi Tomoana says she will be going on maternity leave at the end of the month, and the iwi’s Director of Health and Wellbeing, Jenny Smith, will fill in.
