Accountants take Māori Inc global
Māori accountants are looking at ways to take Māori business global.
Wiwini Hakaraia, the chair of Ngā Kaitatau Māori ō Aotearoa, says a two day hui starting in Wellington tonight will look at opportunities for the Māori and New Zealand economies.
Speakers include Finance Minister Bill English and Terry Goodtrack, the president and chief executive of the Aboriginal Financial Officers Association of Canada.
Mr Goodtrack will talk about his experiences strengthening finances and management of First Nations groups, and of the importance of indigenous values.
It’s Ngā Kaitatau Māori’s ninth conference.
