Massey to study Waipareira past and future

West Auckland’s Te Whānau ō Waipareira Trust has stepped up its capacity to analyse what it does.
This morning it signed a memorandum of understanding with Massey University that will lead to a number of long term studies.
Awerangi Durie, Waipareira’s Director of Strategy and Planning, says the board was looking for better ways to turn its strategic plans into action.
The first project will be a retrospective study of the past 25 years at Waipareira, looking at how its programmes and approaches have changed the lives of individual whānau.
“Massey University are looking at developing a research strategy where they will sit alongside Waipareira for the next 25 years, recording some of the families learning’s as we work with them to see how change works and see how we can do things differently over one generation as well,” Awerangi Durie says.
Waipareira will unveil its 25 year strategic plan on Friday.
