Polyfest brings out pride and passion

The 38th ASB Polyfest has started.
Some 200 groups from 59 schools will be competing over the next four days at the Manukau Sports Bowl.
Co-ordinator Dean Wilson says that means more than 9000 competitors will have their moment on one of the six stages.
“I just love personality, the pride and passion that you see from our Māori and Pacific youth. It’s a wonderful event to be involved in and a real buzz to be back out here and really looking forward to another wonderful ASB Polyfest,” he says.
Competition on the Māori stage started at noon today with division three groups performing. Division one groups are due to compete on Saturday.
