Te Puke-based Comvita is forecasting a 25 percent rise in full-year earnings as it reports a stable supply of the manuka honey it uses to make health products.
The company made a profit of $9.5 million in the year to March 31 on sales of $142 million.
It now has direct control of about half of its honey supply.
It also recently set up Kaimanawa Honey, a joint venture with East Taupo Lands Trust to harvest manuka honey from 3,000 hives on Ngati Tuwharetoa land.
